In 1962 partners Bill Naubert Jr. and Joe Oswald bought a small family owned moving company located in Bremerton, WA called Merchants Parcel Delivery. In 1967, the partners opened a branch in Olympia. Specializing in Naval relocations of service members, commercial moving, and office moving for the State of Washington, the company served as an agent for Bekins Van Lines for fifty years until Bekins was sold in 2012.
In 1991, the company was rechristened as Allwest Moving & Storage. Bill Naubert’s son, Mark, became President of the company that year, and Allwest diversified by adding a record storage operation. Over the next twenty years, this became the largest independent “Records Management Company” in the Pacific Northwest before that piece of the business was sold in 2011.
Now operating as an independent moving & storage company, Allwest has continued to grow and prosper across the Pacific Northwest. The company was awarded the relocation and storage contracts for the Washington State Governors Mansion and the Washington State Historical Museum. Allwest serves as the mover of choice for several high end retirement centers in the Pierce and Thurston County areas, and proudly assists military families relocating to and from Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
More than 50 years since its inception, Mark Naubert and his brother Bill Naubert III still serve as President and Vice President of the company, mentoring a management team which includes a third generation of family commitment, Mark’s son Charlie Naubert.
Allwest Moving & Storage is proud of its history, and excited about its future. For residential, commercial, senior or military relocations and safe, secure storage, trust our family to treat you as one of our own.
